Chris and Beata Tolly definitely took the road less travelled. They have planted grapes that few other wineries are familiar with here in the Okanagan. Marsanne, Rousanne, Tannat, Corvina, Tempranillo, to only name a few. Over looking the south end of Osoyoos Lake they are located on the east bench of the Osoyoos Lake District in a region that is producing some excellent quality grapes.

Loads of mineral, straw, and soft floral scents soothe the senses after a long day at the office. This wine is why i love the wines of BC so much. The natural acidity just vibrates through this wine and lifts the apple and tangerine off the mid palate and coasts right into a long finish full of marzipan and brioche. The mineral notes lend this wine to food and i find myself reaching for fresh BC oysters and a little mignonette made with local Bing Cherry Vinegar. |
