BC Wine Reviews

A fresh look at the Wines of BC with Sommelier and Chef Jay Drysdale.
Dirty Laundry

Riesling 2004

$18

Beautiful complexity that ranges from diesel to tropical fruits, grass, and wet stone. The palate is consistent with the acid still balancing the residual sugar.  There is nice length to the finish and an ease to consuming this wine that is causing it to disappear too quickly.  I wish more people aged BC rieslings, they take on a complexity that is well worth the wait.  Paired this wine with local heirloom tomatoes and fresh mozzarella with flaked salt and good olive oil.
