First impression, as you walk down the long walkway, is one of new age architecture combined with celebrity status (if its proper to say that). The modern design, the panoramic vista, and the three main labels that sell themselves, are not the norm here in BC.
But,
that’s not the impressive part. Take away the beautiful building, and
taste the wines blind. You will discover there is more to this glamour.
The wines have a soul, a purpose that many wineries can’t achieve.

Just when your about to call the wine hype with its vanilla fruit and soft texture, a sense of something else sneaks up on you. You stop, contemplate, take another sip, and be damned...... This wine has a lot of complexity. I have enjoyed watching the transgression of this wine from its inception and this is one of the best vintages yet. Drinkable now, which is the bad part, because in three or four years when its at its peak, I won't likely have any left. My food paring with this is "nothing". In fact get a canoe, paddle your self out into the middle of something and drink the whole bottle yourself. If you open it anywhere else you will be forced to share it! |

No winemaker has the intention of making bad wine. Therefore 50 points are awarded to
the wine for all winemaking efforts. |
